Rules

The Essay for Education Competition is open to students currently enrolled in the 8th, 9th or 10th grade. Current and former Westwood students are not eligible for the scholarship.

Essays should be approximately 500 words and on one of the following topics:


* If you could have one super power, what would it be and how would you use it?

* Besides the subjects you currently study at school, which subject would you add to the curriculum?

* Choose a member of your community and explain why they have inspired you.

* If you could meet one famous historical character, who would that be and describe your conversation.

All work must be created entirely by the student submitting the essay.

Winner must complete application process and qualify academically for enrollment.
